At the Heart Foundation, we are driven by our purpose - to stop all people in New Zealand dying prematurely from heart disease and enable people with heart disease to live full lives.  The delivery of prevention and care and support programmes in New Zealand communities and fundraising for vital heart research describes the diverse work of our team of approximately 140 people across New Zealand.  

 

About the role:


Reporting to the Data Services Partner in the Data Services team, within the wider Shared Services department, the Data Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to make your mark on an organisation doing good work.

You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring data, and its analysis is used to achieve strategic and operational objectives, constantly improving, and encouraging the organisation to become more data centric.  Supporting the whole organisation, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated, that priorities are aligned with business needs, and all Heart Foundation internal stakeholders are well informed. 


To be successful in this role you will deliver an excellent standard of data accuracy – perfect every time.  You will achieve this due to your excellent eye for detail, desire to exceed stakeholder expectations, calm demeanour, and ability to always remain results focused.  You will quickly understand business needs and have an ability to interpret what customers are asking for to deliver the outcomes they require.  The Heart Foundation will see you as a “trusted advisor” concerning all things data, you will be a resilient self-starter, comfortable working with ambiguity.

What we are looking for:


  • 3 years’ plus experience in a similar role
  • Experience managing database systems and managing Document Management Systems
  • Excellent data querying and provisioning skills, report writing skills and data visualisation skills
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive training and support experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Motivated to make a difference
  • Technical skills in database querying, data analysis, and system maintenance
