The Heart Foundation is New Zealand’s heart health charity. Our vision is hearts fit for life and our purpose is to stop all people in New Zealand dying prematurely from heart disease and enable people with heart disease to live full lives.

We're looking for an experienced Data Analyst professional with a commitment to excellence, and an appreciation and passion for continuous process improvement. You will need to provide excellent attention to detail – all reports, data extracts, and processes must be right every time.

This new role is central to a large change project currently underway involving consolidating data to one CRM. This is an exciting opportunity to help design the systems that you will be using, and this role will be pivotal in the success of the Heart Foundation moving forward.  You will be critical in the development of the project and the on-going system maintenance and enhancement. Your internal customers will be your focus, and you will be capable of understanding and translating what people need to align with business objectives.

Our ideal candidate will:


  • Be a guru at data selection / extraction /reporting and analysis
  • Excel at supporting the business by developing a data centric approach to all aspects of the role
  • Manage the operation of the Heart Foundation CRM system.

Reporting to the Data Services Manager, you will interact with a diverse range of internal stakeholders and be part of an engaged and highly effective team.  Excellent communication skills will be paramount and an ability to grow and maintain positive impactful relationships.


Qualifications, skills and attributes:


  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technical skills in database querying, report writing, data analysis, and system maintenance
  • Ability to analyse data and processes
  • High attention to detail with a logical mindset
